Foul Witch: Discover Unique Italian Cuisine in New York City

Really, really wonderful dinner the other night at Foul Witch! The cocktails were amazing (I really liked the Fizz) and the food was all stellar! Highlights included the Fire and Ice, the Clam Pasta, Sweet Potato dish, and the star of the show... believe it or not... was the celery salad! Shredded celery with anchovies and cheese... who knew it would be such a hit! Service was great - really nice and personable without feeling stuffy. Great for a date night or a chill dinner with friends, highly recommend!

Remarkably excellent food and an undeniably fun, but unfussy experience. Portion size is appropriately petite for the richness of the food. Butter is the unifying flavor through the menu. Don’t miss their pastas. The bay leaf ice cream is beautifully executed a perfectly intense and beautiful bay flavor. Interior is witchy-chic, which sounds impossible to pull off, but they do. Service is exceptional. Worth a special trip to Alphabet City.

I love Foul Witch! We've been here three times now and each time even becomes better. The food, service and atmosphere were all very nice and chill. It is not like that kind of formal or elegant place, but definitely a perfect place for a relaxing and comforting meal. Highlights: 1. Testa - it looks like a regular terrine or meat Pâté, but once you have your first bite, you'd know it's totally a different story. It was so soft and melty! 2. Sacchetti with Clams & Pumpkin Capelletti - both are stuffed pasta (like tortellini or ravioli). We loved them! And previously we had their other types of stuffed pasta - all were good! 3. Focaccia - we didn't order it this time but we had it in our previous visit. Loved it as well! Other then above, we also had wagyu carpaccio and celery salad. They were great as well, but not as impressive as those highlights. They only thing I can nitpick was the wagyu carpaccio, which had some chewy connective tissue. Overall, Foul Witch is one of my fav spots in NYC!
